I’ll be starting college mid-fall and I want to learn some skills to be more Frugal and independent.

I can cook simple dishes, I can do video editing, I play Piano & Ukulele though sort of simply. I really only try to buy things onsale or in clearance. That or I will sort by unit price.

I’m already thinking of learning how to perform basic automotive maintenance and some renovation work on an old RV trailer this summer to build up some skills.

What would you all suggest?

Have two swivel outdoor chairs that I think I found on the roadside. They have rotted canvas seats but the rest of the chairs are metals and in good shape. What would be a good way to replace without having the seat sag or look super DIY and cheap? I have seen some paracord macrame seats but I’m not sure I could manage that. They are bronze looking metal. Looks like the old canvas was secured by a type of grommet but they are round with no screw head on the back…not sure if they will…

Pretty much every time, it’s a better value – literally better quality, to buy used. Especially with the declining quality of manufactured goods. Of course I’m talking about non-disposable, durable goods.

I can always find a higher quality cast iron pan for less money used than new.

I was one point away from the cop and i emailed rp to sent then my e portfolio and everything and ive only gotten an email telling me that its being reviewed…

I only heard that business has already sent out emails but im ensure about csp and biomed

Hi as a current sec 4 right now, I’m currently studying for Os and I go republic poly library a lot to study, I like their campus too since it’s fully air conditioned and it’s rlly near my house. However I heard some bad things about their reputation and people. Anyone can offer any insights on how studying at RP is like?
