SUTD Eco-City Research and Innovation Centre Awards First Scholarship

The Eco-City Research and Innovation Centre established by SUTD in the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City recently awarded its first scholarship. The scholarship recipient will begin a four-year undergraduate programme at SUTD and is expected to return to the Eco-City to work or start a business after graduation.

At SUTD, students not only have Wednesdays off, but Fridays too – a practice it has had since its inception. Mr Jonathan Kua, SUTD’s chief of staff, student affairs, said “It not only provides opportunities for personal growth, but also serves to provide a balance to a student’s week – strengthening physical health and supporting mental wellness.”
